Adult Acupuncture  – Initial Virtual Visit

All Initial Visits for new patients will now be conducted via a Telehealth Platform so that we can meet face-to-face rather than mask-to-mask for the first time.

Once you schedule your Initial Virtual Visit you will receive a link to a comprehensive health history form. It asks about your current concerns, your overall health, symptoms and lifestyle in addition to your personal and family history. The information you provide in this initial document creates the foundation for our work together and will become part of your permanent Electronic Health Record.  Most importantly, it is a valuable tool for you to gauge your progress along the way.  I’ll review it all prior to our video appointment so we can use that time to focus on your goals.

Adult Acupuncture  – Follow Up Treatment

Each treatment is individualized to address your immediate concerns within the framework of the overall treatment strategy we design together.

The cost of each session reflects the time and modalities involved on the day of treatment. The per-treatment cost remains relatively constant throughout your course of care so you may plan accordingly.   For Time of Service fees for uninsured and underinsured individuals and families, visit  “How much does it Cost?”

Not ready to schedule?  Just send me your questions.  I’ll send you several possible appointment times for a FREE 15 minute Virtual Q & A.

Pediatric Acupuncture / Shonihari (ages 9 and under)

Pediatric acupuncture employs “touching needle technique” and other non-insertive methods to sensitively treat children. Traditionally referred to as Hari, the Japanese word for acupuncture, this technique requires precise pulse diagnosis and a highly developed sensitivity to the flow of Qi.  Handcrafted gold and silver tools are used to stimulate the treatment points and channels. This style is appropriate for everyone but is especially beneficial for children and other sensitive individuals because the needles do not penetrate the skin.

You and your child will have an opportunity to ask question and see the touching tools used. You will receive a link to an electronic health history prior to our meeting. The information provided with guide our conversation and plan subsequent meetings.

Pediatric Acupuncture – Follow Up Treatments

Cupping is an ancient technique, used in many cultures, in which a special cup is applied to the skin and held in place by suction. The suction draws superficial tissue into the cup, which may left for a few minutes on a local area or moved back and forth to treat adjacent areas. Cupping brings fresh blood to the area and helps improve circulation
