Twenty five years ago my soul whispered,
“If I keep doing what I’m doing, I’m just going to shrivel up and die.”
Regina Gibbons, MBA, M.Ac., Lic. Ac.
In other words, my dynamic organism needed to be revitalized. These last two decades have truly been the most vibrant years of my life. By transitioning from a career in Accounting, Finance and Taxation, I have simply shifted the concept of healthy financial balance sheets to that of healthy biological balance sheets, for myself and my clients.
Over this same period, a growing number of well-designed clinical trials for both acupuncture and Tai Chi, have documented the high value/low cost of these interventions in improving health outcomes. Having served as a Senior Tai Chi Instructor over the last ten years in several Harvard Medical School-based NIH-funded trials (So, yes, I’m a geek, too!) evaluating Tai Chi, I have observed significant improvements in health outcomes in clinical research settings. This strong scientific foundation supports my clinical experience over the years and allows me to incorporate Traditional East Asian Medicine into your care with a high degree of confidence and safety.
In my clinical practice I translate these ancient principles into concepts and practices that you can apply to your everyday life. My emphasis is on education, self-empowerment and self-care options for you to reclaim stewardship of your own well-being. Please let me know how I might help.
Oh, and when I’m not in clinic, practicing or teaching Tai Chi,
I’m dancing, skating, snowshoeing, bicycling or kayaking.
It’s how I keep my Qi nice and shiny.
